Skinner Tank Company (STC) takes great pride in its involvement
with, and support of, the liquid fertilizer industry in the United
States. And in doing so, STC maintains membership in various
fertilizer associations all across our country.
In nearly four decades of doing business with the liquid fertilizer industry in the United States, STC has built over 1,000 field erected liquid fertilizer tanks in 40 states -- from coast to coast. We are an innovator in fertilizer tank design and understand the unique needs of our fertilizer customers. Our headquarters is located in the heart of the Midwest, which means STC is in a great position to be logistically competitive for our customers.
The construction requirements of all STC fertilizer storage
tanks fall under the requirements of the American Petroleum
Institute's Standard 650 (API 650).
Our staff includes multiple employees that are Certified API 653 Above Ground Storage Tank Inspectors so that we can assist with all of your tank inspection and repair needs.
Additionally, we have also assisted The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) with the development of specific fertilizer tank guidelines.
STC can assist you with all forms of secondary containment. We can
provide fertilizer tanks built within lined earthen dikes;
fertilizer tanks equipped with internal liners and bladders; and we
can build complete systems of primary containment tanks built
inside of secondary containment tanks.
We appreciate the opportunity to work with you to help determine the best alternatives for your project.
